The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games gave us a once in a lifetime opportunity to inspire the nation to enjoy sport. The Government is determined to secure a significant and lasting legacy from the Games. Developing an enjoyment of sport and physical activity, and promoting a healthy lifestyle in children from an early age, are vital aspects of that. To support this, the Prime Minister announced in March a cross-Government programme providing significant additional funding for primary schools.
Please see below the Sports Grant Funding Strategy which outlines the planned allocation and spending of the Sports Premium Grant for this academic year. This is reviewed fully in July and this will form the action plan for PE and school Sport for the next academic year.
